First Responder Vision

I'm Jeff, an award winning video producer

and a volunteer of the fire service

My hope is that I can help your organization today.

BEGINNINGS

For me, it's personal.

As an insulin dependent diabetic, I found myself

in an ambulance seven times in 1999.

I always admired the heroes always there for me.

So in 2001, I deeply wanted to give back.

So I joined my local fire volunteer department

to capture crews on video for recruiting.

9/11 had changed all of us overnight.

A catalyst to lift the visibility and value

of the our first responders.

24 years later, I will never forget.

UNEXPECTED LEADERSHIP

Over time, being embedded with crews and culture,

I began to see hidden internal fractures that plague

every station even to this day.

Lost vision, resignation, isolation, toxic in-fighting.

Divided alliances, as if one side could serve

the community without the other.

Outdated recruiting that many still

think works today.

After moving to a new station in 2014,

those dynamics seemed to be everywhere.

those

Then a moment came that I wasn't prepared for.

In late 2016, after a long season of severe decline

and conflict, the meeting agenda only had one item.

Vote to close the volunteer company after 78 years.

Nobody wanted that. It was just good people

who were worn out and unable to come together.

Before the vote, I was unexpectedly asked to

step into leadership as President.

I began to speak life into our department. coupled

with renewed vision and strategic marketing.

And with a small but incredible team who trusted me,

we did the impossible together.

Going from some 14 to over 40 members in two years.

I WANT TO HELP

First Responder Vision was created to provide

stellar media production and influential consulting.

Whether police, fire or EMS, it's not the volunteer

or vocational recruit that's missing.

But the lost vision and identity of serving today.

You can't lead with transactional authority alone.

Leverage the power of inspiring 'the why'

as a servant leader in those you oversee.

It takes connection, influence and endurance.

But it's worth it.

I always open to speaking to your department.

Respond today and let's envision what's possible.
